MR BLAZE revelling in the going, took command at once, drew clear in the opening eighth and, increasing his "lead steadily, was" eased up at the end. STAR PUPIL, in nearest pursuit of the leader throughout, continued willingly to the close. PANTHER CREEK moved up on the inside in the last eighth and closed determinedly. SOLAR TIME dropped back in the opening sixteenth, began moving steadily, gained a promi-ncni position, then faltered in the last seventy yards. TRIPLE ACTION, on the outs.de all the way, could never reach the leaders. HI-VIC dropped back leaving the back stretch and was never prominent. JVIOLASSES BOB trailed until the closing eighth, then passed tiring horses. SWIFT LAD was always far back. AMHURST, unruly at the post, was started from outside of the stalls. BLUE DAY, never far from the leaders and under slight restraint early, raced to the front rounding the far turn, drew away and was never threatened, winning with speed to spare. THE BAILIFF improved lus position gradually during the last three-eighths, saved ground at the stretch turn and held on stubbornlv in the cosing drive. TRICKLING, unable to keep up early, closed some ground. CHARACTER had good early speed and was hard ridden in an effort to keep pace with the winner, but tired badly through the last three-sixteenths. MOISSON faltered after going Five-sixteenths. TRAGEDIAN moved up steadily in the run down the back stretch, continued with good energy to the end, but was never able to endanger the winner. EXAGGERATION was well placed throughout, but was no match for the first two. DROLL STORY saved ground in the stretch. STORY TIME- displayed speed from the start, entered the lead only to surrender that position to CONSERVATIVE, but came again in the stretch and, gaining a slight lead, held CONSERVATIVE to the close. CONSERVATIVE, well placed nearing the far turn, was unable to maintain her advantage, though fighting it out in courageous fashion. GREY SHOT was quickest to get under way, but was unable to keep pace With the two leaders after the first eighth. BUGLE ANN was badly outrun throughout. Scratched 27207 Malispina. 110. GO QUICK was restrained off the early pace, moved up stoutly on the outside entering the stretch, wore I down the leaders and drew out fast through the last sixteenth. JAIR, unable to keep pace early, closed with a rush and was going stoutly at the end. SPEED TO SPARE raced in closest pursuit of the leaders saved ground in the stretch and continued stoutly to the end. SOBRIETY displayed good speed in disputing the lead with MISS MERRIMENT, carried the latter wide into the stretch, bumped her slightly and faltered in the closing drive. MISS MERRIMENT was unable to shake off SOBRIETY and was bumped when straightening out in the stretch, then faltered through the closing eighth. The latter, Well up all the way, continued stubbornly to the close. DORMIDO, outrun early, moved up on the inside leaving the back stretch, moved ip menacingly rounding the stretch turn and saved ground, but was unable to improve his position under punishment thereafter. BOUNDING COUNT closed some ground. CURRANTS lacked early speed and never could reach a position of prominence. SUN ABBOT tired. ROCKY PRINCE, in nearest pursuit of the winner for the first three-quarters, ivas unable to keep up under punishment. SMEAR was unable to improve his position.
