DEAD HEAT FOR THIRD DETROIT, Mich., June 15. Another of the many dead heats that haye prevailed since the introduction of the camera at Detroit found Genteel Lady and Judge Kav-anagh so closely aligned for third honors at the end of the mile and a sixteenth, sixth race, that the stewards and placing judges were unable to separate them. Center Lane was a driving winner, with Fanfern much the best for second honors. Fanfern and Genteeil Lady dominated the pace for five-eighths but Judge Kavanagh wrested the lead soon afterward. However, he bore out entering the stretch, and Fanfern again forged to the front. During the final furlong, Center Lane steadily wore Fanfern down to be drawing away at the end. Genteel Lady and Judge Kavanagh held on well, and although Genteel Lady appeared to garner third honors, Judge Kavanagh, which finished on the outside of her, was permitted to share ethird honors with her.
