KEYED UP, breaking well, dropped back rounding the far turn, came to the outside in the stretch and closed gamely to get up in the last stride. EVANGELIST, going in its best form, set the pace throughout, only to be beaten in the last stride. FITKIN displayed good speed to the stretch, only to tire slightly in the final test. SCOUT PLANE, slow to get settled in his best stride, was going well at the end. BESS TAM raced greenly. HOLLBIT ran in spots, but quit badly at the end. GAYETTE did not appear to like the footing. GRACE BUNTING, reserved from the pace, took command rounding the far turn and continued gamely to lose the award in the last stride. SIR KAI moved up with a rush at the far turn and finished gamely. FLAT ROCK, broke slowly, saved ground at the turn, raced to the outside in the back stretch, gained rapidly, took the lead entering the stretch and was going away at the end. SIX BELLS, also away slowly, moved up very fast rounding the far turn and made up a big gap in the stretch. GOLDEN WATCH displayed good early speed, then tired in the final test. AIRWAY, trailing the field to the stretch, came with a belated rush. SPERO raced well for seven-eighths MACHILLA was forced wide at the first turn, made up some ground and was tiring at the end. POPO raced to the front at once, took a good lead, then continued gamely to the end, but was not good enough. RACE CRAFT delayed the start, some time, ran in spots and was coming again at the end. CRESTON displayed good form for seven-eiehths, then quit when the real racing began. SOUND MONEY and JIM BROWN"wcre never a threat. WISHING STAR wheeled at thp break. MATHIAS, steadied along well back until reaching the far turn, moved up with a rush, but, though closing fast, could not reach the winner. LUCK IN, always closest to the pace, held on well, but tired at the end. SERENABIT, also rated well back, could not menace the leaders when called upon. SAINTED raced, evenly all the wav. MR.
