SAY DO PROVES BEST MUDLARK Splashes to Victory Over Sloppy Track at Agawam Rain Falls Regularly During Day. AGAWAM, Mass., June 15. Four horses paraded for the Kimball Claiming Purse, which featured todays sport over a sloppy track at Agawam Park. Say Do, which M. Weiner recently shipped here from New York, proved the best mudlark in the field of four, splashing home in front to defeat the public choice, Salut DAmour, by a length and a half. Two lengths back of this pair came Goody Goody in third place, while Sickle Hour was in the rear. Stanley Coule, who had the mount up on Say Do, sprinted the gelding away and he had enough speed to dominate the race all the way, though he was under snug restraint, as he saved ground on the inside. For a brief instant Sickle Hour went with him, and Salut DAmour was right there too, while Goody Goody had dropped to the rear. Never faltering, Say Do drew away as they raced down the back stretch. There Barba made an effort to go through on the inside with Salut DAmour showing second position when Sickle Hour quit. Entering the stretch, Salut DAmour gained some ground, but when Coule, sensing his danger, permitted his mount to have his head the bay son of St. Brideaux showed his class by the easy manner in which he again left Salut DAmour plodding along in second place. Meanwhile Goody Goody had unleashed enough speed to pass the tiring Sickle Hour for third. Dull overhead skies that at times turned to a heavy down pour of rain greeted the fans throughout the afternoon, while the track was a veritable sea of slop after the running of the second race. Despite all this, one of the largest weekday crowds of the season was- on hand, indicating the hold that king horse has taken on the citizens of Springfield and surrounding cities.
