GOOD TRADE, suited in the going, moved into command with a rush and was rated along under steady restraint, shook off determined opposition from HARRYS DREAM and drew away at the end. HARRYS DREAM, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, swerved under urging, but held on well at the end. JANEEN was placed under pressure rounding the turn and finished steadily. ALAHAD, on the outside of the leaders rounding the turn, hung at the end. CHERRY ORCHARD saved ground throughout and had no mishaps. Won driving; second and third easily. AMAGANSETT jumped boldly and showed speed in the going, shook off determined opposition from THE IMMORTAL II. and drew clear in the final drive. The latter raced in nearest pursuit of the pace throughout, moved up when called upon in the final half mile, but hung at the end. NAVARINO was bothered in the early running, came to the outside in the final half, mile and finished well. ST. FRANCIS raced forwardly the first turn of the field, but tired at the end. BLACK WITCH moved up with a rush when called upon, made a determined bid in the stretch run, but hung at the end. TOTEM POLE, outrun in the early stages, improved her position on the inside and finished well. SANTA BARBARA showed a good effort and finished well. RAVENNA had no mishaps. MISS COHERE showed early speed, but faltered at the end. TIME ME broke from outside of the stalls and was bearing out at the turn. VALEVICTORIAN was outrun in the early stages, came to the outside for the stretch run and finished well. PATSEY BEGONE broke fast, showed a flash of early speed, but quit. DANISE M. dwelt at the start and was away slowly, moved up fast, but tired from her early efforts. AMPERSAND was outrun and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten. NORTH WALES II. improved his position steadily, came to the outside for the stretch run and finished fast. STARAWAY broke well but swerved in the early part, moved up gamely and overcame bumping from RICHMOND ROSE at the end. The latter, on the outside of the leaders rounding the turn, swerved when placed under pressure. MAECLOUD and SWIFTPLY collided at the start and eliminated themselves. SHOWEMALL, under severe pressure in the early stages, could not get to the front. DISTRACTING, well up from the start, bore out in the stretch run and interfered with CACHALOT and held on gamely to the end. CACHALOT was outrun the first part, came to the outside in the stretcli run and was going strongly when bothered in the final eighth. ASTRA made up ground steadily and finished well. ESPINACA, on the inside through the stretch run, faltered at the finish. ALADDINS DREAM showed an even effort.
