Balaski, permission to go to Detroit to ride.. one of the Milky Way Farms juveniles in the Moslem Temple Stakes, Saturday. E. K. Bryson bought Judge Bolton from the Blue Ridge Farm and Pep Talk from A. B. Letellier at Hawthorne, Thursday. Judge Bolton, a three-year-old, will be converted into a jumper. Cecil Howard, acting for R. C. Thatcher, sold Ouray to F. Sowell at Hawthorne, Thursday. Three two-year-olds owned by Valdina Farm are in shipment here from the farm in Texas and will be taken over by trainer J. J. Flanigan. Tom Young, track superintendent at Lincoln Fields, was a Hawthorne visitor Thursday. Jockey Joe Dyer took his departure for Akron and will swing into action at Northampton Park, Saturday. Frank Chiavetta arrived from Kentucky and will make only a short stay. Col. E. R. Bradley wired for reservations Friday and Saturday. Coming from his Idle Hour Farm in Kentucky, he will have large party of friends as his guests for the Chicago Derby, Saturday. Bow and Arrow will carry the famous Bradley colors in the race. John Deering, contract rider for the J. L. Roberts stable and a recent arri-"il from Detroit, had his first mount here when he rode Cablegram, Thursday afternoon. Tim Smith, with the racer Jim OConnell, arrived from Omaha. Jockey "Hank" Callahan reported ill and received permission to cancel his mounts. World Over, Jirasol II., Inscolita and New Issue are additions to the T. C. Worden stable. The Southland Stable, owned by Charles Bacharach and trained by Cliff Porter, is expected at Arlington Park from Jamaica, Saturday. Copies of the fourth issue of conditions for overnight races were distributed Thursday. . Nominations for the Illinois Owners Handicap, to be run on the final day of the meeting, are coming in nicely and a fine renewal of- this Hawthorne fixture is in prospect. Nominations close Saturday, June 20. with racing secretary J. G. Reeder. Evergreen Farms two-year-old, Sad Sue, goes to the farm at Bloomington and Magic Lad will take her place in the Evergreen string here, according to E. H. McMahon. Two claims were filed in the fourth race at Hawthorne Tuesday, R. T. Watts filing one for Net Profit as Blue Bonnet Stable took Galmica.
