Charles arrived from Suffolk Downs to witness the fight between Joe Louis and Max Schmeling. Paul McGinnis was granted a license by The Jockey Club and will ride on the flat, as well as through the field. P. J Nash, owner of the Shandon Farm Stable, arrived from Chicago for a few days racing. Airflame will be shipped to Suffolk Downs for a stake engagement on Saturday. Jockey Sammy Renick will ride him. Dr. W. P. St. Charles of Toronto was a clubhouse visitor.
