Won easily; second and third the same. , RELIANT, quickest at the start, raced into a long lead at once and won eased up. CARNARVON was always second, but was no match for the winner. ROYAL RANK broke well, dropped back, at once and closed very fast on the outside in the stretch. PRAIRIE PRINCE, well placed, could never improve his position. SHEATHE was going camely at the end. MONTANA, prominent for a half mile, quit badly in the last, eighth. SALLY QUICK and SNOOD broke very slowly and had little chance. Scratched 27831 No Dust, 111. Overweight Sally Quick, 3 pounds. JOHNNY BANE, displaying the most speed, from the start, was steadied along in front and finished well in hand, at the end. FLOWER TIME, going well, placed, made a bid coming to the stretch turn, but could not threaten the winner. STOOL PIGEON raced well under weak handling. CLASP, crowded back at the start, closed an immense gap and finished stoutly. PROTEUS was through after the first quarter. SWIFT QUEEN, raced evenly under good urging. GOOD DAME was never a threat and can do much better. The others were never dangerous. SAND CLOUD, threatened turning for home, fell back at the finish. SICKLE HOUR was all through -after going a half mile. POPO, at home in the going, took command midway of the back stretch, stood off repeated challenges from RUTLAND and held the latter safe at the end. RUTLAND, well back rounding the first turn, moved up with a rush going down the back stretch, got on almost even terms with the ttfnncr, but could, not increase its margin. CANPRA gained slowly while racing along the inner rail, in the deeper footing. INTEGRITY, hard urged at all times, made up some ground on the turn, but raced wide in the stretch, then faltered when the real test came. HIGHDRY quit badly after showing some early speed.
