DUFFERIN CHOICES IN FORM Public Favorites Have Another Good Day New Record for "Daily Double" Pay-Off. TORONTO, Ont., June 26 Form followers who experienced a good day of sport here Thursday, when four favorites Out of seven races were victorious, had another enjoyable afternoon at Dufferin Park today for the semi-final day of the Metropolitan Racing Association spring meeting, when three choices, including two at the prohibitive odds of one to four, were returned winners on a card that for the second time in as many days was governed by the claiming clause, no feature being listed. The program in its entirety consisted of five sprints and two events over a distance of ground, with most interest being centered on the five furlongs test for three-year-olds that served as the fifth, and which engaged a field of eight of that age. Conditions were again ideal for the semi-final day, and the establishment of a new all-time record for the "Daily Double" form of wagering and the riding of G. Courtney and L. Machado were leading highlights in conjunction with the card. Mrs. G. Hogarths improved eight-year-old gelding, Roche DOr, accounted for his second success of the meeting when he easily defeated H. Nevilles Darksini, G. Drakes Partisan and five other older distance platers in the sixth, for which he ruled second choice. His score by almost three lengths was in a measure attributed to the riding skill of T. Aimers, who allowed his mount to chase along in pursuit of the speedy Gingery for six furlongs, after which he moved his mount into the lead to hold sway for the balance of the journey. Darksini easily saved second place, and Partisan was clear of Miss Cog.
