PLATER OCCIDENTAL SOUND NEW YORK, N. Y., June 26. A. S. Dodd has obtained a certificate of soundness for his plater Occidental from Dr. H. C. Crawford. This is the one Gilbert refused to ride recently on the grounds that the horse was sore. The Crawford certificate is that Occidental is "racing sound" and that his legs are in better condition than when he was campaigned last season. In the meantime he has been examined by the association veterinarians.
