BOARD TRADE, away fast and raced wide early, went to the inside sharply after reaching the turn, easily increased his advantage when entering the stretch and had something left. JIM McCONNELL was under strong urging after three-eighths, came out in the stretch and, holding on well, outstayed BRIGHT BUBBLE. The latter, taken back slightly when the winner came over on the turn, was only mildly shaken up in the stretch and faltered near the end. CAPTAIN RED showed little. SLIP KNOT could not get to the leaders and tired in the stretch. MERRY FREDA was placed on the outside at the start. SPICKEEN was through early. Corrected weight Board Trade, 116; Bright Bubble, 111. PEP TALK, away slowly, was hustled into a contending position, was placed under mild restraint around the turn, raced to the front when urged and swerved after taking a clear lead. PRUM was close up from the start, dropped back on the turn, was bothered slightly by DUCMISS while racing strongly and was blocked by the winner in the late stages. COLONELS MISS raced wide after the opening quarter and moved up in the stretch, but tired near the end. INSCOLITA raced wide throughout. DUCMISS showed speed, but swerved when tiring. TOMYE forced the early pace under light restraint, raced into a good lead gradually when straight in the stretch, then tired, but stalled off DOUBLE NUGGET. The latter displayed the most speed from the start, could not withstand the winners challenge in the stretch, but held on fairly well and made up ground near the end. TORNILLO, in hand early, failed to rally to pressure, but held on well in an even effort. TRIPLE PLAY finished well. INFLAME, away slowly, bore out badly on the turn and was never a threat. MACKS PAL. suited by the soft track and showing speed from the start, held FIRE STAR safe while racing easily in the first half mile, stood pressure gamely, in the final three-sixteenths, but just lasted. FLYING JUSTICE, on the inside throughout and well up from the start, held on with good courage and was slowly wearing down the winner. FIRE STAR raced wide, failed to respond to light urging, when entering the stretch and tired ia the last three-sixteenths, but outstayed NIGHT. JAW BREAKER, in closest pursuit from the start, was under pressure after reaching the final quarter and held on well, though unable to menace the winner. FITTER was racing close up when she went wide on the stretch turn and, closing well when straight, wore down .HIGH POLISH. The latter, on the inside throughout, fell back steadily. CARDARRONE, forced very wide by TRANSFUN on the turn, stood a hard drive gamely, though failing to hold the winner. WATER-CURE, never a great distance back, closed with determination in a good effort. TRANSFUN had speed from the start, bore- out on the turn and gave way steadily in the drive. VEEKS, blocekd on the far turn, was racing well when cut off in the stretch and never fully recovered. IRISH FORD raced wide. TEDDY. HASLAM failed to keep up. Overweight Capt. PALASA, slow to get going and forced wide at the first turn, gained steadily and closed resolutely. STROPHE, slow to get going, closed a good gap in the final stages. EVENING GOWN, well up for seven-eighths, tired in the stretch. MISS FLIP could hot keep up. REGARDS began fast, forced the early pace and quit in the stretch. FIRST PIGEON was outrun.
