NATTY BOY gained a prominent position soon after the start, raced into the lead after rounding the far turn, opened up a commanding advantage and was never threatened. BLODDOCK was hustled through on the inside to gain the lead in the first quarter mile, continued gamely to the close, but was unable to cope with the winner. SHOWABAL, well placed and hard ridden, never could threaten the leaders, though continuing well to the close. TELLINGYOU trailed the field through the back stretch, was outrun for the first half mile, but closed a big gap through the stretch. GRANDMAS BOY was steadied along back of the pace and, always within striking distance of the leaders, moved up stoutly in the last eighth and got up in the closing strides. MIELETTA had speed from the start, withstood determined opposition from NELL MAC, was always able to hold the latter safe, but was unable to withstand the bid of the winner. NELL MAC, quickest to begin, lacked speed to go along with the pacemaker and tired near the end under pressure. CRITICISE could never reach the leaders. FEUDAL LORD was outpaced. CHILLY EBBIE was well placed early, but dropped back when the real test came. DEREK was eased back when its rider lost a stirrup at the start. Scratched 35466 Gold Sweep, 106. BEHIND ME gained a prominent position early, thoueh unable to improve her position when the real test came. TERRY ON was in close quarters after straightening out in the stretch. BRISTLE was outrun.
