I SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES T 4 P. C. Galliger, prominent racing official, and his wife were visitors at Sportsmans Park. Galliger came from Dufferin Park, where he said the meeting was a big success. He has been invited to return there next year as racing secretary. Mr. and Mrs. Galliger plan to go to their home in Louisville within a few days and later will proceed on to Florida. John Bainton, who has divisions of his stable at Sportsmans Park and at Arlington Downs, has cancelled his remaining stall reservations at the Texas track due to the illness of several of his horses here. Those stricken are King Pin, Cheerus, Whatim and Morvue. They will remain here indefinitely. Elmer Johnson and C. E. Dale shipped their horses to California. Johnson sent Masterpiece, Erla and Tornillo, while Dales colorbearer was Well Heeled. George Palmer, who has had much success with his starts at Sportsmans Park this fall, will officate in a similar capacity at a one-day hunts meet on the estate ot Mrs. William Du Pont in Virginia shortly after the close here. Later he will do the starting during the Charles Town, W. Va., meeting in December. Jockey R. R. Simpson was to get away late Tuesday for California. He will accompany the string of horses owned by Elmer Johnson, his former contract employer. Jimmy MeGee, agent for apprentice Bobby Dotter, is here for several days, having come from Lexington. Dotter will return to Churchill Downs in time for the opening there Friday and will resume riding. A. Selon got away Tuesday for California, taking with him Playmaster, Au Man, Bulletin Board and Nedson. Apprentice Chester Crowhurst, who slightly injured his leg here several days ago, was back in the saddle Tuesday.
