PLENTY OF GOOD RIDERS AT ARLINGTON DOWNS ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct 27. Although opportunities for them have not been as numerous as in previous seasons, the result of adrerse track conditions holding fields almost to a minimum since the opening, Arlington Downs continues to attract its share of the countrys best riding talent. Today it boasted no less than eighty-four qualified riders in the group, including such older ranking stars as Wayne D. Wright, George Woolf, Leon Haas, Tommy Luther, Harry Albrecht, Raymond Hightshoe, Johnny Longden, Hank Manifold, Albert Beck, Melvin Knight, Charles McTague, Frank Maschck, Leland Lake, Herb Simmons, Herb W. Fisher, Donald Gray, Frank Grill, Hank Callahan, Willie Ray, Larry McDermott, Bob Morrison, Willie Moran, Leonard Turner, Al Craig, Frank Mauro and a class of youngsters embracing Warren Cornay, Charles Parke, Eddie De Prang, Sammy Roberts, Jimmy Gordon, J. R. Hill, Lou Guymon, Joe Tinker, Teddy Dowel, among others. In all, apprentices number twenty-three, an unusually large percentage, though the total number of riders is forty-one under the Arlington Downs record of 125, established two years ago, according to the records of Wesley Freeman, chief of the jockeys quarters here. Other graduate performers qualified to accept mounts today were J. Adams, E. Burns, J. Chestnut, P. Camp, P. Clelland, M. Calvert, R. Creese, A. Daniels, R. Dc Prcma, J. Dupuy, H. Derden, J. Day, S.
