SECOND WEEK AT ARLINGTON Southwest Breeders Futurity on Wednesday, Nov. 4 Arlington Handicap on Saturday. ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 27. The Texas Jockey Club swings into its second full week of the current thirty-three racing days next Monday at Arlington Downs, and the weeks program includes the 1936 renewal of the Southwest Breeders Futurity, to be run off Wednesday, November 4, over six furlongs, carrying a purse of ,000 and restricted to foals bred in Texas and Oklahoma; and the Arlington Handicap, set for Saturday, November 7, for three-year-olds and upward, over a mile and a sixteenth, and for a purse of ,500 added. Much interest centers about the Southwest Breeders Futurity, and it is predicted that one of the largest fields of two-year-olds since its inception will line up before starter Roy Dickerson on Wednesday. In addition to the Waggoners Three Da Stock Farm, which has Heelfly, Gin Daisy, Phalasan and Pansys First to choose from, most of the outstanding breeders of the Southwest will be represented in this six-furlong fixture. C. B. Daniels, Newcastle, has six candidates, and P. L. Fuller, Snyder, Okla., will select his standard bearers from four nice looking and speedy two-year-olds. Twenty-eight remain eligible.
