ALKIT, away slowly, moved up fast through the field, forged to the front in the stretch and won easily. SWIFT AIR, never far back and under good urging, took command nearing the final quarter, was forced wide entering the stretch and tired in the last eighth. GRACE GRIER, a strong factor from the start and on the inside, gave way in the last stages and finished even with SANDORA. The latter, used up in the early pace, tired, but finished in a dead heat with GRACE GRIER. CATCHEM made up ground. LAC-HA-LAURA had no mishaps. GUSTAVIA showed little. DANGERLEE quit. The latter, well up from the start, dropped back when forced to the outside in the stretch and closed with a rush. CASANARD hustled to the front, gave way when challenged, but held on gamely. HOUSE WARMER quit. BILLIES ORPHAN made up ground when sent to the inside in the stretch, but tired near the end. BUSY DAUGHTER was outrun. TARPON was done after five-sixteenths. LADY DEDLOCK, away slowly and outrun for a half mile, responded to strong urging when steered to the outside for the drive and wore WOWO down in the last eighth and won easily. HICENA, well up from the start, moved up fast entering the stretch,- but tired in the last stages. ODDESA BOY, away slowest and outrun for a half mile, was in close quarters on the inside and finished even with ALICE HIGHLAND. The latter sprinted into a clear lead, gave way in the stretch and finished in a dead heat. WOWO, saved early, subdued ALICE HIGHLAND after a half mile, but quit badly in the last eighth.
