1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES s $ John OBrien, mayor of Schuylerville, N. Y., was an arrival and was a guest of John I. Day, Tuesday afternoon. They were guests at the annual dinner tendered by Eugene McGuirc after the races. Val Crane stated that he will ship the horses he has here in charge of trainer Trotter to Pimlico for that meeting. A total of 170 claims were filed this year, an increase of one over the total of 1935, according to the figures compiled by Al Burlcn. Matt Brady stated that he will ship from here to Pimlico and that he would start the Middleburg Stables Esposa In the Washington Handicap, the closing fixture at Laurel. Henry McDaniel will leave for Miami this week-end and horses owned by the Star-mount Stable will be raced there. Nick Wall renewed the call held by W. J. Zicgler on his services for next year. James Fitzsimmons returned from Laurel. He shipped Devils Pace and Drawbridge back to Aqueduct. George Bull was among the visitors Tuesday afternoon.
