Won easily; second and third driving. ORIENT EXPRESS rushed up fast on the outside after the break, bore over sharply nearing the far turn and impeded GLOOM BUSTER and then drew away and won with speed in reserve. GLOOM BUSTER raced forward! all the way while saving ground, was in close quarters when the winner bore over at the far turn and was forced back and then came again at the end. A claim of foul was lodged and was not allowed. CRAFTY FOX was close up under restraint in the early running, came to the outside for the stretch and finished with determination. EXHIBITOR closed ground steadily" from a slow beginning. COUNT EDWARD broke fast, but was outrun and came again. ABBADON finished fast from a slow beginning. DAYTONIAN, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, could not menace the winner, but was quitting at the finish. DICKERY DOCK improved her position on the inside from a slow beginning, came to the outside in the stretch and finished well. SPICY had no excuses in the running. COUNT UP was outrun in the earlv stages. RED ARIL could not menace the leaders. ERADA had no excuses in the running. BRED IN BLUE quit when called upon. VICKSON had early speed. IDLE .MIDGET slipped through on the inside in the early running, responded when called upon in the stretch and wore down HIGH MABEL and held CANDLELIGHT safe in the final drive. The latter worked his way up steadily on the outside, came to the outside of the immediate leaders in the final eighth and finished fast. HIGH MABEL drew away into a safe lead in the early running, saved ground, but quit badly under urgine at the end. WHISK PARTY was outrun in the early running and finished fastest on the outside. YETIVE had no excuses in the running. MERGE was outrun and could not menace the leaders. FLYANETTA saved much ground entering the stretch. DONALD DUCK was outrun. STEEL CUTTER was under steady restraint in the early running on the inside moved up when called upon, but hung at the finish. SUN ARCHER was taken under restraint going to the first turn, was placed under urging midway, to the stretch turn and then faltered.
