BRAGGER headed the field on the back stretch and, showing a liking for the going, was racing gamely and withstood several challenges to hold FLUKE at the end. The latter moved up strongly after leaving the back stretch, but hung after getting to the winner in the final eighth. WASATCH was a strong contender to the last sixteenth, then tired. RECOATNA led the field around the first turn, but was not good enough. The others were outrun all the way. Scratched 39739Radio Hour, 115; 39739 Dusty Boots, 110. Overweight Quick Cloud, 4 pounds. HANDMADE moved up steadily when straightened out on the back stretch and, easily passing SWEPEN after entering the stretch, won going away by a wide margin. The latter liked the going and opened up a good lead while setting the pace, but was no match for the winner. JULIA IRENE was never far back and showed a good effort. MATE TEA raced wide and was never a dangerous contender. BYLONA had early speed. The others were outrun all the way. Scratched 39656 Belles Last, 105. MIKE T. had speed and went fairly well to the end. MODEL DAME made a game bid after entering the stretch, but tired near the end. HALSTEAD began slowly. FLAMING GIRL was practically left. KUMSIS went to the front soon after the start to open up a good lead and was never in danger. SPEED HOME was closest to the winner all the way, but was tiring fast at the end. OLD MAID struck a soft spot when she attempted to get through on the inside at the far turn, then came to the outside in the stretch and finished fastest of all in the middle of the track.
