I LEXINGTON TURF NOTES f e s E. J. Tranter, president of the Fasig-Tip-ton Company, arrived Monday morning from New York to arrange with Kentucky consignors dates for the sales of yearlings at Saratoga next August Maj. Louie A. Beard stated that C. V. Whitney, after an inspection of his yearlings, has decided against selling any at Saratoga, but will have a few fillies and mares to sell at the Lexington sales next fall. Henry S. Knight, owner of Almahurst Farm, is here from Chicago. It is his first visit since last November, shortly before he became ill in New York. Leo J. Marks, owner of Le Mar Stock Farm, accompanied by his mother, arrived Tuesday from Miami and will proceed to Columbus, Ohio., after he has conferred with trainer Mose Lowcnstein, who is now at the farm with the racing stable.
