BLACK LOOK AND FLYING CROSS WORK MILE IN l:43Vs LEXINGTON, Ky., April 6. Black Look and Flying Cross, the Kentucky Derby candidates of C. V. Whitney, went through another mile trial over the farm training track this morning under the direction of Thomas J. Healey, who timed them in 1:43. Mr. and Mrs. Whitney, who arrived here Friday, witnessed the workouts and then departed for New York in their private plane. The two colts were kept together throughout the performance, at no time being asked for anything like their best speed. Their time for the first three-quarters was 1:16, and for the seven furlongs, 1:30. Willie Nertney was astride Black Look, and an exercise boy was up on the Pennant colt.
