AWAIT ARRIVAL OF STARS Indian Broom and Special Agent Ex pected at Tanforan. Taylor Horses Due Tuesday to Begin Training for Marchbank Handicap-Hold Track Records. SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 6. Two noted American stake stars Indian Broom and Special Agent will arrive at Tanforan April 6 from Santa Anita and will be pointed for the 0,000 added Marchbank Handicap, at one mile and one-eighth April 17. Owned by the Vancouver, B. C, sportsman, Maj. Austin C. Taylor, Indian Broom will be the defending champion in the Marchbank Handicap. He won the first running of this classic last year at Tanforan in the worlds record time of 1:47, defeating Top Row and Azucar. Special Agent, a thoroughbred with an electric burst of early speed, will be a worthy running companion for him. Indian Broom was assigned 116 pounds, and Special Agent 113 in the Marchbank by racing secretary Julius G. Reeder. Indian Broom won 6,940 in stakes and purses last year and raced brilliantly during the Santa Anita season. He vanquished Mr. Bones, King Saxon and Red Rain in one of his best performances and finished third to Rosemont and Seabiscuit in the 00,000 Santa Anita Handicap. Special Agent, like Indian Broom, holds a track record at Tanforan, a mile and one-sixteenth in 1:43, established here last spring. He started seven times during the Santa Anita season and only once his blazing speed failed to take him to the front. He won two races, set a fast pace in the Santa Anita, and finished fourth in the cighteen-horse field. He earned 4,695 last year. Again the arch-rival of this brilliant pair will be Seabiscuit, owned by Charles S. Howard of San Francisco. Thi3 four-year-old received top weight of 124 pounds in the Marchbank and undoubtedly will reign favorite.
