SPEEDY G0LDEY F. IS VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA NEW YORK, N. Y., April 6. Goldey F., Mrs. W. A. Bridges fleet-footed bargain filly, succumbed to pneumonia Monday morning at Belmont Park, whence she was shipped about a week ago from Miami. She was insured. Purchased for a mere ?150 at the yearling auctions of 1935, Goldey F. was one of the outstanding two-year-old fillies of last seasons racing, winning the Aberdeen,Rose-dale, Hialcah Juvenile Championship and Betsy Ross Stakes, finishing second in the Astoria Stakes and third in the Saratoga Sales Stakes. The daughter of Tall Timber and Naharanna was remarkably consistent, winning eleven of fourteen starts at two, and finishing second twice and third once. During the winter at Miami she did not fare so well, failing to win in seven starts, but finishing second twice and third twice. Her total earnings were ?i7,035.
