BAY MEADOWS TURF NOTES 6 Bay Meadows fourteen stake events offering 0,000 in added money together with a 00 purse minimum will hold virtually every important stable now on the West Coast. This statement is verified by stall reservations for the San Mateo meeting which opens April 24. Every stall at Bay Meadows has been reserved and the overflow will again be accommodated at Tanforan. The recent rains have benefitted the flowers, grass, and shrubbery and with a few days of warm sunshine the plant will be more beautiful than ever. Preparations for the opening are going forward rapidly under the direction of general manager William P. Kyne who already has several members of his staff on the job. Season box scats in both the clubhouse and the grandstand are practically sold out and a large number of new memberships have been added to the Turf and Paddock Club. Kyne is highly optimistic over the outlook for the ensuing season and is predicting new records in every department.
