I OAKLAWN PARK NOTES John S. Condon, one of the promoters of the Oaklawn meeting, will depart for his home in St. Louis on Tuesday. In addition to being an executive, Mr. Condon handled other details in an accurate manner. A. M. "Country" Jacobus shipped the horses he is training for Mrs. V. E. Berry of San Antonio, to Arlington Downs Tuesday morning. Jockey Leland Lake has been engaged to go to the Texas track to do the stables riding. Trainer William Stock shipped the F. H. Carpenter horses to Churchill Downs recently where they will be freshened up until the opening of the Louisville track. Jockey Bobby Montgomery went along with the shipment. Moody Jolley, trainer for F. C. Podesta and A. P. Canale, Memphis sportsmen, supervised the loading of his charges for Churchill Downs, which included Mary Vito, a candidate for the Kentucky Oaks. Beth Macaw, owned by Mrs. I. Meripol, was included in the consignment. The racers of Frank Barton, Mrs. L. Hart-rick, Gorbet and Irvin, and Mrs. E. Oros completed a carload that was sent to Aurora on Tuesday. Otto Bagley, who gained the distinction of being the leading trainer of the Oaklawn meeting, sent the W. J. Lynch and Blue Ridge Farm horses to Lexington, where they will be campaigned at Keeneland. Jockeys T. P. Martin and J. Gardelle go along to do the riding for the stables. The main division of the J. C. Ellis stable, which is in charge of Olin Johnson, will remain at Oaklawn until April 10, then be transferred to Louisville. George Bulcroft, who served as custodian of the jockey quarters at Oaklawn Park, left for his home in Collinsville, 111., where he will remain for the next two weeks before proceeding to Chicago. Only a few owners decided to rest up their charges at Oaklawn Park, which will remain open for the next two weeks. Jim Gass, veteran Kentucky trainer, has made preparations for the shipment of the J. J. Farrell horses to Churchill Downs on Monday. In the same car the horses of C. R. Jordan, the Rockhome Stable and John Mc-Shane are to be included. The stables of Mrs. J. H. Elliott, Arthur Hullcoat and J. E. Fuller were transferred to Havre de Grace Tuesday where they will be campaigned for the remainder of the Maryland spring racing season.
