HOWARD EAGER FOR MATCH SAN MATEO, Calif., April 13 Despite stories to the contrary, Charles S. Howard stated Tuesday that Seabiscuit had not as yet been nominated for the Hollywood Gold Cup. He said that he had made no commitments for the horse and would prefer to race Seabiscuit against War Admiral in May rather than wait for the Hollywood Gold Cup. Last week, when it was reported that the Seabiscuit-War Admiral race was to be held in September, Howard informed the writer that he would probably remain on the coast to try for the Inglewood classio and then ship east, but now that the tentative dates for the match have been changed it is probable that Seabiscuit will be sent east, as Howard would rather have the match take place in the spring than in the fall.
