TRAINER J. F. BAUER j DOWN FOR 60 DAYS i MIAMI, Fla., April 13. The Florida State Racing Commission today suspended Joseph F. Bauer, veteran trainer of Jamaica, N. Y., for sixty days for violation of a state ruling prohibiting the doping of racing thoroughbreds. Bauer was ruled off by stewards at Tropical Park on April 7 when a chemical analysis of the saliva of Blue Cyclone, a horse trainer by Bauer, showed the presence of drugs. Bauer denied he had administered the horse drugs, but admitted prescribing a medicine for the animal which contained a quantity of liquor.
