1 BEULAH PARK TURF NOTES j 2 The railbirds are showing particular interest in the training activities of Worpoise, two-year-old bay filly by Equipoise Worshipper. This juvenile, according to trainer Charlie Valentine, is slated to go places. She is owned by H. D. Sheppard who brought .out Upset Macaw last year. Worpoise will make her debut under colors at Beulah Parks spring meeting, beginning Wednesday, May 4. The feat of jockey Johnny Adams, who rode six straight winners at Bay Meadows the other day, has never been accomplished at Beulah. In fact, no rider has ever booted home six winners in a single day at the near-by track. The closest approach to it was on September 14, 1934, when Fernando Fernandez scored with five out of seven mounts. The Cuban was under contract to Henri Torriente at the time. W. C. "Bill" Daly, who, as starter, is on hand to begin schooling sessions, has never missed a Beulah Park meeting. When the track held its first meeting in 1923, Bill was on hand as a trainer. Later, he served as an assistant starter under George Palmer, whom he succeeded as starter. Chester Adams arrived from New Orleans with six head, including the veteran campaigner, Claflag. 4
