1 BOWIE TURF NOTES j $ Jockey R. Merritt decided to remain over and ride Eastport in the Southern Maryland Handicap, He will leave for New York on Thursday. Jockey J. Longden, after piloting Charlotte C. in the Aberdeen, at Havre de Grace, will return to Aqueduct to report to trainer Fitzsimmons. Trainer, H. E. Potts was an absentee Tuesday, due to the death of his father in Baltimore. R. Ingersall was appointed agent for jockey R. Workman for the Havre de Grace meeting. Workman rides Jay Jay in the Harford Handicap. Horsemen who intend to race at Havre de Grace were requested to file registrations as quickly as possible. Blanks are available in the secretarys office.
