White from the West Virginia racing commission of his appointment of starter for the impending thirty-six day meeting at Charles Town, W. Va., beginning May 15 and continuing through June 25. White, who served as starter at Oaklawn Park during the recent meeting at Hot Springs, Ark., had been tentatively engaged to dispatch the fields at Ak-Sar-Ben, but decided to accept the Charles Town offer. The fine work of White at Oaklawn Park attracted much attention, and he received several offers for his services.
