LOUISVILLE LATE ARRIVALS Horses of Kirby Ramsey, Friedberg and Axton,; Jesse Spencer Among Those to Check In. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 13. The stable of Kirby Ramsey, local horseman, headed several establishments unloaded at Churchill Downs or Douglas Park in the last twenty-four hours. The Ramsey string, which includes several handicap candidates in Mucho Gusto, Palamede and Bow and Arrow, came from Miami as did those of Friedberg and Axton, Louisville patrons, and Jesse Spencer of Lexington. A car from Hot Springs brought the horses of Ross Higdon and several more head belonging to the Woolford Farm of H. M. Woolf. This car unloaded at Douglas Park. Besides the three handicap horses, Ram- sey transferred eleven others from the southern racing point, while the Friedberg and Axton stable, trained by Jack Hanover, comprised eight, and Spencer had five to augment a division of his establishment which had been here about a week. Hal Kiser had three in the same car with the Spencer racers. Mucho Gusto, one of the stars of the Miami season, and Palamede are tentative starters in the Clark, Louisville and Kentucky handicaps, to be run during the Churchill Downs spring meeting. Our Willie, belonging to Spencer, is named for the Clark and also the Kentucky, while Bird-lea, which Ramsey trains for W. J. Sprow, is a likely starter in the Kentucky Oaks, also a spring attraction here.
