I JAMAICA TURF NOTES J $ t Trainer Walter Carter may ship Piccolo to Havre de Grace to run in the Philadelphia Handicap. W. J. Norton will ship a carload of horses, owned by J. H. Whitney, to Suffolk Downs for that meeting. Trainer James Ritchie reported that John Simonettis Sgt. Byrne cooled out very sore, following his race on Wednesday. Miss Mary Hirsch was a visitor. She came from Suffolk Downs, where she has several horses in training. Jockey George Woolf is due here from California next week and will ride Myron Selznicks Cant Wait in the Wood Memorial. Trainer Brennan was forced to scratch American Daisy when the filly developed a slight fever vanning over from Belmont Park. Roxey Romanelli was among the visitors. He is on his way to Suffolk Downs to join Morty Mahonys staff. Walter Carter reported that he had placed the three-year-old filly Fancy Sonja back in training. The miss was turned out on Long Island for the winter. A. M. Freudberg, watchmaker and repairer to the training fraternity, arrived from Miami and will stay for the year. Eddie Arcaro will ride Cant Wait in the Stuyvesant Handicap, Saturdays feature, according to agent Nick Huff. James Butler, of the Empire City Association, was a visitor during the afternoon. Trainer J. W. Healy, acting for J. H. Whitney, took a call on the services of jockey P. Ryan, who rode with outstanding success last year.
