BLACK POLLY, well handled and hustled along while on the inside, responded to strong urging when tiring and outfinished FAIR ROCK, The latter, rushed into a clear lead, raced wide on the stretch turn, then came fast when straight, but tired near the end. FLYING LILL lost ground throughout, but held on well. DRUSELDA, shuffled back soon after the start, raced wide thereafter and finished strongly. BUYER BEWARE, slow to begin, came from well back. MISS ALERT tired. MODEL MARY began slowly and raced greenly. QUICK QUICK raced greenly. GARDEN POOL, away slowly, was forced wide when improving her position, was steered to the insido for the drive, responded to strong urging in the last stages and outfinished SISTER POLLY. The latter, a strong factor from the start, drew clear after disposing of FROZEN MASK, was put to good pressure when challenged and failed to last. FAIR SO improved her position after a quarter, but tired after offering a bold bid nearing the final eighth. PETER F., well up from the start and on the inside, held on well. BARBARA S. improved her position through the field. SINK OR SWIM began slowly and showed little. BOJANGLES had speed. SQUAW LADY, away slowest, improved her position, was steered through the field approaching the stretch, moved up fast when straightened away and wore down SADIE F. in the last strides. The latter hustled along from the start, disposed of RUSSMOR after reaching the final eighth, but failed to withstand the winner. STAR BANNER worked her way forward on the outside, came through the field for the drive and closed with a rush. BLACK MISTRESS, never far back and on the inside, was in close quarters nearing the last eighth and tired thereafter. RUSSMOR, used up in the pace, gave way under pressure. BLUE GAUNTLET, under stout restraint while following the pace closely for five-sixteenths, was allowed to drop back under poor handling. CALCULATOR had early speed. ALERGY, going in her best form and hard hustled throughout, saved ground while setting a good pace and, continuing gamely, under strong urging, dead-heated CASANARD. The latter, taken under light restraint and close to the pace, responded to urging in the final quarter and finished on equal terms with ALERGY. MONEY GETTER broke slowly, worked his way up to contention rapidly and had no mishaps. TWINKLE FEET, well up for the entire trip but forced wide, showed a good effort. GOOD SOLDIER broke swiftly, dropped back soon thereafter and worked his way up on the outside gradually. HILFAIR made up some ground. PIERRE ANDRE quit badly after a half mile.
