I AURORA TURF NOTES , Infield paths have been graveled and beautified this season for the express purpose of transporting the new Bahr gate from the home stretch to the back stretch and vice versa, thereby disposing of the hitherto troublesome job of hauling the gate around the track from one starting post to another. N. W. Burkhart is shipping his seven-horse string from Hot Springs. They are coming by van and should reach here late Friday afternoon. This stable enjoyed success during the recent Oaklawn meeting. The entire strings of J. D. Mooney, former jockey; Fred Goranflo and F. Keller were arrivals from New Orleans. Mooney has five consistent campaigners ready for the opening bugle. The J. E. Miller horses left New Orleans for this point Thursday, accompanied by those of Burley Parke, V. H. McMullen and A. Bordeaux. The Parke colorbearers are headed by Fair Mole and Naval Cadet. Both Chance Ray, owned by Clarence Davison, and Leading Article, the property of B. P. Woodson, are intended starters in the six furlongs Sl,500 added Inaugural Handicap on opening day, May 2. Both these sprint stars were sensations of the recent winter campaign at the Fair Grounds; Leading Article later going to Hot Springs, where he also took down the sprint championship of the meeting.
