DOG HALTS RUNAWAY HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 21. "Red Coat" Murray and- Happy Gordon, famous outriders, have a canine rival at Havre de Grace, a dog that retrieves runaway horses with all the efficiency and elan that Murray and Gordon showed in their best days. Wil-A liam Winfreys three-year-old filly Fooled tossed her exercise boy and ran away Thursday morning. Stable sweeps and horsemen vainly attempted to snatch the dangling j I reins as Fooled careened around the track. Suddenly a brown streak shot under the rail at the quarter post and raced after the runaway horse in a swirl of dust. It was the fast Wales shepherd dog owned by P. A. Rothfuss, who has a stable quartered here. The shepherd swung up alongside the runaway horse, dextrously snatched the loose rein in his teeth and brought the horse to an unwilling .halt. 1
