MRS. JESS SPENCER DIES LEXINGTON, Ky., April 21. Mrs. Mary Emma Spencer, wife of Jess Spencer, widely known Kentucky owner and trainer whose horses are quartered at Churchill Downs, died from a heart attack suffered while in the lobby of the Phoenix Hotel late yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Spencer came from her home on Winchester Road in company with friends, and shortly after reaching the hotel suffered the attack. She was removed to a room in the hotel, where she died a few minutes later. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Jones, a sister, in Winchester, Ky.
