BROWNEYED I PAT had early speed, but was in close quarters several times while racing on the inside. IRREVOCABLE, never far from the pace and well rated, moved to the front in the stretch and, after interfering with JOLITO, had enough left to hold the latter to the end. JOLITO, shuffled back after the start, came fast on the inside rounding the stretch turn to make a strong move on the inside and, unable to find an opening, came to the outside of IRREVOCABLE when too late, but was gaining rapidly at the end. TOP RADIO, slow to settle into stride, responded gamely to strong riding, but was overmatched. THE FLOWER gave a good performance under a hustling ride. PETER SAXON, a strong factor for a half mile, tired badly when subjected to pressure. KUMSIS gave way after racing close to the pace for three-eighths. EIGHTH RACE 1 3-16 MILES.
