WEIGHTS FOR CLARK HANDICAP Burning Star at Top With 128 Pounds but Is Not Considered as a Probable Starter. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 27. The best field in several years was in prospect for the sixty-fourth running of the ,000 added Clark Handicap, mile and a sixteenth stellar event on next Saturdays opening day program here at Churchill Downs as William H. Shelley, handicapper, announced weights for the thirty-nine eligibles. In the assignment of imposts, the Shandon Farms crack four-year-old, Burning Star, was honored with top weight of 128 pounds, a scale burden compulsory under the new rules of the state racing commission. This horse, however, is not considered a starter, and if he fails to accept the issue J. B.
