PHARAMOND II. FILLY PICKED Wins Yearling Judging Contest at Keeneland Park Track. High Time Miss, Shown by Walmac Farm, Selected as Second Best Ballot Sales Provide Prizes. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 27 Two hundred ballots were cast in the. filly division1 of the thoroughbred club of Americas annual yearling judging contest held Friday afternoon at Keeneland race course here. Ballots in the filly divisions were seventy-five less than were cast in the colt division of the contest held Wednesday afternoon. Favorite with those participating in Fridays contest was John Hay Whitneys bay filly, by the imported stallion Pharamond II., from imported Blue Dust, by Gainsborough. Of the 200 ballots cast, that filly was placed first, second, third, fourth or fifth on 119. She was the first choice on 37, second on 30, third on 23, fourth on 16, and fifth on 13. Second choice in the filly division was the brown filly shown by Walmac Farm. This youngster is by High Time Swank, daughter of the imported sire Chicle. The Walmac filly was placed first on thirty-two ballots, second on twenty-nine, third on twenty-five, fourth on twenty, and fifth on ten. She appeared a total of 116 times on the ballots cast. THIRD CHOICE. Third choice was C. V. Whitneys chestnut filly, by Equipoise Tenez, by Friar Rock. Greentree Farms black filly, by imported St. Germans, from Parry, by Peter Pan, was fourth choice, as the number one selections on the ballots. A chestnut filly, by Wise Counsellor, which was shown by Charles Nuckols, of Midway, ranked fifth in the list of first choices. However, this filly which is a daughter of imported Heterodyne, by Blandford, was third choice in the total number of votes received. A total of 104 ballots included her hip number. Tabulators of the ballots found a number of ballots had been voted incorrectly. Several persons participating, selected a filly included on the program but not sent to Keeneland for the show. Those in charge of the contest announced those persons who had filled in the ballot incorrectly would be advised of their mistakes and given the opportunity of correcting them. NO DEDUCTIONS. All money derived from the sale of ballots will go to the winners of two divisions of the contest. Nothing will be deducted from the receipts. The money received for ballots in the colt division will go to the winner of that contest and the money derived from sale of ballots cast in the filly voting will go to the winner in that group. However, the cash will not be awarded. Instead, both Keeneland and the thoroughbred club of America, plan to add unannounced sums to the two pools and the total will be used to purchase attractive silver prizes for the two winners. I
