!t JAMAICA TURF NOTES i and Harry S. Hart arrived here with thirteen horses that he will race over the metropolitan tracks for the season. S. Burch arrived with six horses headed by the plater Day Is Done. "Bud" Mayberry arrived here from Florida with City Judge and Bail Out. The Wheatley Stables Stormscud was returned from Havre de Grace, where he raced in the Chesapeake Stakes. Jockey J. Longden returned from Havre de Grace and reported to trainer J. Fitz-simmons. At private terms Ogden Phipps purchased from the Wheatley Stable the horse Teufel. This brings the Phipps colorbearers to four, Magic Hour, the new purchase, and two two-year-olds. Thanksgiving was returned to Belmont Park from Havre de Grace by trainer Max Hirsch. Reports from Philadelphia are to the effect that Joseph E. Widener is showing slight improvement in his illness. The Brookmeade Stable secured second call on the services of jockey L. Haas until June 5, the close of the Belmont Park meeting.
