SIGN NEW CONTRACT The International Harvester Company signed a sole collective bargaining contract with the Steel Workers Organizing Committee, which is a CIO affiliate, for its tractor plant in Chicago. The Chicago unit employs 6.500 men. The contract is for one year, with the provision that it shall continue in force from year to year if neither side gives notice of further negotiations within sixty days of its expiration.
