1 ! ; j 1 RAISE TANFORAN TRACK SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 27. Already famed throughout the United States for its well cushioned track, Tanforan has made further improvements to the course for the twenty-five-d:. meeting which opens Saturday. The track has been completely resurfaced from the mile and a sixteenth pole to the three-quarters chute, and the entire track has been? re-silted, about 3,000 yards of silt being used. Another improvements has been the raising of the track five inches, thus increasing the pitch and aiding natural draining in case of wet weather. One of the reasons for the high standard of form maintained at Tanforan in past seasons, has been the uniform and excellent condition of the racing surface.
