KINGSHIGHWAY took the lead at once and, well rated in the run through the back stretch, was taken in hand in the final three-sixteenths. BOBBIE EASTER, never a great distance back in the early stages and steered to the inside for the final drive, wore down BEAUTIFUL BUD in th closing strides. The latter, under occasional urging, was placed under a strong drive in the final eighth, but was not good enough. DEMANDING lacked speed. RED COLONEL and INDIANA MAID had no excuses. The latter, prominent from the start, came out slightly for the final stages, responded to pressure for the drive, but was not good enough. KEEN GLOAMING, on the inside throughout, shook off MISS MONTE in the stretch, but tired. MAY SEE finished with a belated rush. MISS IVORY had no mishaps. BLAZING SUN lacked speed from the start. BLIND HOPE raced on the extreme outside the entire trip. MISS MONTE faltered in the final stages. The others had no mishaps. GEORGES HEIR, prominent from the start, was in close quarters approaching the final eighth and finished with a rush when clear in the final seventy yards. DIXIE BINDER, hustled from the start, held on gamely at the end. SUNTAR showed good speed setting the pace, but tired badly in the last seventy yards. LITTLE DREAM moved to contention with a rush, raced slightly wide turnine into the stretch and faltered in the closing strides. CRAB-TREE raced on the inside throughout. LASHYBO had early speed. GENIE JR., racing in his best form and under strong restraint the first half mile, came out for the drive and, under strong urging, wore down BLAKEEN in the last seventy yards. The latter, racing between OVERSHOES and TIGER JOHN for the first half mile, moved into command approaching the stretch and, continuing gamely, gave way in the final strides. DINAIN lacked early speed, was steered to the inside for the drive and was up in the last stride. SEMINOLE QUEEN had no mishaps and showed an even effort. TIGER JOHN faltered at the end. MT.
