1 HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES $ G. R. Wingfield, starter at Hawthorne, leaves here after the close Saturday for Nar-ragansett where he will be engaged in a similar role. Phil Reilly is leaving here Friday for Keeneland with the horse Brown Comet. He disposed of Distractible to P. L. Kelley for an -undisclosed sum. Joe Marinelli returned to the saddle after having served a ten-day suspension for rough riding. C. M. Oten has taken over the training of Orchids Next for J. E. Hughes and he will take the juvenile to Maryland Sunday in the car which is to transport the horses of Mrs. Emil Denemark to the same point J. A. Best, former trainer of Orchids Next left for Lexington and after a few days will proceed on Ao his home in Memphis. The horses which Lon Copenhaver will have at Narragansett are Tristrap, Mohac, Ridgemor, Shasta Play, Escolee, Top Dog, Farquhar, Oh Dolly, Joe Eaton, Carpan. Cantrip, Zevar, Sealine, Malicious, Wise Alibi, Redress and Discriminate. They are to get away for the New England track Sunday or Monday. William Cunningham, timer at Hawthorne will leave here Sunday for Keeneland where he will serve in a similar capacity. Jockey T. Everett checked in Thursday1 from Beulah Park and will ride free lance here and at Sportsmans Park. P. L. Kelley will get away for Narragansett Park Sunday or Monday with the horses Cardinalis. Shes Right, Le Miserable, Distractible, Busse Trumpet, Almac, Mister Jacko, Count Valiant, Mama Lula, Trans-mutable, Port Girl and Gallant Stroke.
