NAPPER TANDY A REPEATER Comes Back to Score One of Easiest Victories of Fridays Program at Rockingham Park. SALEM, N. H., Oct 7. Phil Schwartzs Napper Tandy, who sprung a surprise here a few days ago, came back this afternoon to repeat his good effort, and wound up one of the easiest winners of the afternoon. The three-year-old was again ridden by C. Dickey. He went to the front going to the clubhouse turn, and led for virtually every stride of the one mile journey, which he finished in 1:39, second best time for the distance at the meeting, being bettered only by Wise Prince, last Saturday. At the finish the winner was well in hand, two lengths in front of Galadore, from the stable of R. A. Coward. The latter had shown some impressive morning trials, and. was expected by stable connections to run as good or better than he did. Ghost Queen, from the Medway establishment, was two and a half lengths off the runner-up, and a half-length in advance of the undependable Play Dis. Landlubber and Oddesa Frank completed the six-horse field, and finished in the order named. The weather continued cold, but skies were clear and the track was at its best. A favorite finally met defeat. The downfall of Medway Stables Funderburg halted the parade of winning choices in the one mile sixth race, which was won by Mrs. F. Rossiters Saidona. The St. Henry or GaU lant Knight filly was a length in front of C. C. Muirs Peaceful, with Joy Flag, another length back, taking the show portion of the purse from Funderburg by a neck.
