NEWARK GOES INTO LEAD KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 7. The Newark Bears of the International League defeated the Kansas City Blues of the American Association, 6 to 1, last night, to take a three-game-to-two advantage in the little world series. Joe Beggs pitched steady ball to turn in his second series victory for Newark.
