TRANSFERS YEARLINGS LEXINGTON, Ivy., Oct. 7. C. C. Van Meter this morning transferred his string of yearlings from Keeneland to barn thirty-one at the Lexington trotting track until after the Keeneland race meeting, when he will return to stable B. Work observers report that the veteran owner-trainer has some speedy youngsters in his string and that he is getting off on the right foot in his new plan to buy young horses, break and develop and sell them, rather than to go away to the races as he formerly did.
