JOCKEYS FOR SPORTSMANS Plenty of Capable Riders Signify Intention of Plying Profession at Little Cicero Track. CICERO, 111., Oct. 8. Sportsmans Park will not want for a sufficient number of capable riders for the nineteen-day meeting which opens next Monday. Among the leading riders during the current Hawthorne season vho plan to accept mounts at this popular half mile course are Robert Conley, attached to the stable of Mrs. A. M. Creech, T. P. Martin, who will do most of the saddle work for the Blue Ridge Farm, and Henry Hauer, contract rider for the stable of Clarence E. Davison. Conley, Martin and Hauer, are among the half dozen leading jockeys at Hawthorne and their services are expected to be much in demand. Martin and Hauer are no strangers to Sportsmans Park, but Conley will be plying his profession here for the first time. Some of the other able saddle men to be seen in colors here are Delpha Castille, another to make his first appearance here, Robert Haber, Lloyd Sisler, Stuart Vail, Troy Everett, Geo. Quackenbush, William Page, Joe Marinelli, J. E. Oros, Albert Bodiou, Alex Schlenker, Herbert Chinn, Joe Sylvester, Ellsworth Sylvia, Pete McLean, Don Scur-lock, James Linton, Melvin Knight, Bruno Cortelletty and Albert Lewis. Frank Miller, who has charge of the riders quarters at Hawthorne, will be custodian of the jockeys room here for the first time.
