IMPERIAL SCOUT RULING BY i j HAWTHORNE STEWARDS CICERO, 111., Oct. 8. Following two days of investigation of an alleged attempt to tamper with Lexbrook Farms Imperial Scout early Friday morning, the stewards at Hawthorne denied the privileges of all Illinois tracks to three persons and will recommend to the Illinois Racing Commission that they be ruled off the turf. Apprehension of the trio was the result of fine work of watchmen and private police at Hawthorne and Sportsmans Park, who took one of the men into custody before the alleged tampering could be effected. The ruling of the stewards is as follows: "For an attempted tampering with the horse, Imperial Scout, during the early morning of October 7, Henry Robinson, Jr., of Orangeburg, N. Y., and Nathan A. White, of New Orleans, both colored, and Sebastian De Vito, of Brooklyn, are denied the privileges of all courses under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Racing Commission and recommendation is made to that honorable body that they be ruled off the turf. Hawthorne- Board of Stewards."
