t KEENELAND TURF NOTES $ $ . Joe Wolken who has the concessions at Keeneland, was an arrival from Chicago. Eddie Legere advised track superintendent William Bishop he was shipping the Belmont Stable horses as soon as he could obtain a van. Only one horse will be raced here by Jack Carter. Carter telephoned from Chicago, nominating Caravel for the Tranter Handi- -cap, opening day feature at the local track. Having shipped eight horses from Fair-mount Park, Tommy Root arrived in advance of the stable. Root trains for S. W. Pershall of Granite City, 111. Trainer James Everman brought the balance of the P. T. Chinn horses here from Latonia Saturday. In the shipment were Col. Horton, Flying Bonnie, Malinda B., Col. Scott and Bills Marge. Col. Hatchett and Grand "Villa, two that came with the Latonia shipment, were turned out, on the Chinh farm. Keene Daingerfield wired his stable would be here Saturday. The Dixiana stable which came from Latonia, embraces only four horses to be campaigned by trainer Clyde Van Dusen. The largest stable to find quarters here, Friday was the Shady Brook Farm in charge of trainer George Brooks. In the shipment were Cherovan, Visigoth, Abanico, Timeful, La Gata, Azafran, Ostrogoth and Facula. Word was received from A. G. Tarn that he was shipping twelve Saturday and five more would leave Latonia Sunday. The well balanced stable of Riedinger Bros, checked in Friday afternoon from Latonia. The horses are Detector, Tilly Kate, Playreen, Yureen and Wilful.
